Financing for Read-out Equipments
1. You will recall that at the time I reported to
on the consumers' needs for read-out equipments for
Systems One, Three, Four and Five you asked that I prepare
for your use with General Cabell a summary document indicating
sources of funds. A draft to serve this purpose is attached along
with the attachments prepared by setting forth the costs
of equipments.

2? I submit this paper in this form as a basis for discussion,
anticipating that you may wish to ask me to make changes. Another
reason is that there are certain factors which may require revision.
Thus, if a decision were made to merge with AQUATONE 50X1
and the number of bases of operations were reduced it would require
less read-out equipments. I also understand from that rack D 50X1
may show its head in a different form as a result of certainresearch
now going on.
3. Actually, since preparing this I understand that the Air
Force may have changed the numbers of some of their racks, though
I have not been able to nail this down yet, but changes in that regard
do not affect the argument of this paper since they would be subject
to Air Force financing.
