6. Mission
The Special Assistant for Planning / and Coordination 7 is
charged with assisting the Director of Central Intelligence in
planning / and coordinating-/ intelligence activities and Agency
operational activities relating to national security.
7. Functions
The Special Assistant for Planning / and Coordination / shall:
a. Develop and recommend policies and plans for / the
coordination of 7 intelligence activities and Agency
operational activities relating to national security.
b. Furnish guidance regarding the long-range plans of
the Agency.
L. Advise and assist in achieving effective collaboration
in the Federal Intelligence Community/
/d. Review and evaluate the effectiveness of coordination
within the Federal Intelligence Community`/
c. / e. / Coordinate and review agency external research
projects and serve as Chairman of the Social Science
