The Chairman indicated that he would prepare a paper trans- mitting these views with the necessary backup from papers already prepared in previous justifications. This paper will be disseminated. Peripheral Coverage 5. The Chairman will, on the basis of the discussion, prepare a, complete draft on the above subject to be disseminated to the members for further consideration. Sanitization of ODE Materials for the Navy 6o The Chairman presented four displays prepared by HTAUTOMAT comparing USAFE annotated target materials with TALENT photography on the same areas. The Navy?s response to these materials was that as good as they were they did not encompass the principal need of the Navy for sanitized TALENT photography covering the approaches to the targets. The discussion was inconclusive. The Navy has under preparation an exhibit, the status of which the Navy representative undertook present to the Chairman as soon as feasible. Titling and Duplication of the 1400 Series (Middle East) 7, Mr. Lundahl presented a proposal for selecting certain missions from the 1400 Series which, it was believed, would provide adequate coverage for future uses, thereby saving considerable labor both at the factory and in Washington in the handling of materials which need not be given as much careful attention, 8, The Chairman undertook to disseminate this proposal which may be reviewed directly with HTAUTOMAT by members' representatives with a report to the Chairman as to whether the proposal would be accepted or what modifications were desired.
