The essential substantive matters of the trip have already been The schedule of activities is set forth in the 25X 25X 25X attachment, Tab A. 2. At CINCPAC, CINCPACFLT, PACAF, and USARPAC, the briefing on TALENT materials was conducted by Mr. Lundahl. Except in the last two instances, namely, CINCPACFLT (General McGee) and USARPAC (General White), where CHALICE matters were not discussed at all, operational matters that were raised were principally answered by Colonel Geary, or matters were handled by 25X1A CHALICE security 25X1 A Briefings on requirements, TALENT security, and utilization were handled by the undersigned. At 5th Air Force, the briefing on exhibits was handled by the fiTndersigned answering questions on operations. Any summary report required on CHALICE security will no doubt be made by the Security Officer, DPS/DCI upon his return. Presentation of the high quality photography in limited quantity (about twenty pieces) and explanation of procedures and arrangements for utilization were uniformly well-received, and it should pay dividends wherein support by any of the commands is required. 4. On-the-spot discussions about security in the CHALICE field and relations to TALENT were overdue and should materially reduce if not totally eliminate confusion. 5. In so far as support may be possibly required at some time in the future from certain commands, especially CINCPAC, PACAF, and 5th Air Force, Headquarters would do well to ensure proper periodic briefings with particular concern for the introduction of new commanders. 6. The CIA TALENT Control Officer must take special pains to ensure that agreements and decisions reached bearing upon the handling of TALENT materials should reach the commands through the proper channel clearly stated. 7. Recommendations: a. That from time to time as the situation warrants Admiral Felt, General Muter, and General Burns be given background information as to the status of Project operations. In addition, a second 25X1 section of such cable might contain elaboration to permit Balmer of the principals. The undersigned promised Admiral Felt that upon return a recommendation to the Project Director along the line of the foregoing would be made. b.
