DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY
OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT CHIEF OF STAFF, INTELLIGENCE
WASHINGTON 25, D. C.
IV04ORANDUM FOR: CHAIRMAN, AD HOC REQUIREMENTS COMMITTEE
ATTENTION :
SUBJECT: Army Requirements in Middle East (U)
HAKIE VIA TALEN-f
CUNT UL SYSTEM ONLY
25X1A9a 1. Reference is made to the telephone conversation on 20 September
1956 between and Colonel Dodds of this office.
2. As requested in referenced conversation, specific Army require-
ments for intelligence in the Middle East are inclosed herewith. The
requirements are arranged in two groups, representing photographic cov-
erage obtainable on two separate flights. If coverage is available,
information listed for each area is required. In the event that coverage
is not available, flights covering the two routes would be extremely
valuable. Vertical coverage would provide maximum advantage over all
targets.
3. In addition to the specific requirements listed in Inclosure 1,
any information reflecting military intentions and capabilities of Israel
and the Arab Bloc countries is a continuing Army requirement.
