Assistant Director for Current Intelligence telephoned
Mr. Amory requesting approval for the immediate TALENT
Clearance of Mt. Lundahl was info 50X1

2. position in OCI is a Deputy Chief
of the Soviet Military Division, a position which was not
previously authorized for TALENT clearance. He is currently
engaged in order of battle work involving the Middle East
and is helping to post absent charts in the White House
Briefing Room.
It is in connection with the work in the Middle
East problem that clearance was requested.
