The IAC on 15 March agreed that the rate of production
would remain at eight for this fiscal year and that the
matter would be reconsidered to AG- in June,.
The DCI recently acceded to State's request for addi-
tional support for their part of the NIS program..
Results of initial interagency survey were turned over
to 0/RR which, through its special consultant,. now holds
the initiative in this matter.

10. NATO Intelligence Structure and Procedures
Papers on basic NATO intelligence organization, proce-
dures for warning of attack, and interim intelligence guidance
for SI-I&PE have been approved by the NATO Military Committee
Standing Group and are being circulated for approval by the NATO
governments.
11. NSC 29 - Protection of Strategic Resources
an Industrial Facilities Abroad
O/IC has been given the responsibility for arranging
for the production of research which may be needed prior to field
investigation.
