1. As a result of a survey and report prepared by OIC on
17 May 1951 at the request of the DCI, OIC has a continuing respon-
sibility to review the CIA situation in respect of interdepartmental
committees periodically and to report.
2. Status: OIC has discussed this matter recently with the
Offices and has received from those Offices up to date information
with regard to the interagency committees on which the Offices are
represented for CIA. The procedures and principles reviewed in the
survey paper are being met substantially. OIC does not believe any
action is required at this time with regard to the general question
of interdepartmental committees.
