request for Intelligence on Ion Exchange Resins,
Attached hereto is a report on ion exchange resins, which indicates
that some of these resins, and in particular the strongly basic anion ex-
changers~ are of significant strategic importance.
Zn order that full consideration may be given to placing the sub3ect
item on the security lists, it is requested that intelligence information be
developed an the supply and use of these items in Communist China and in the
European Soviet bloc.
