Present: Belgium(Luxembourg), Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States. The UNITED KINGDO1 Delegation introduced their Memorandum, COCOLI Document 3415.00/1, proposing the following new wording for Item 1549(a): (a) Photomultiplier tubes with all the following characteristics for colour temperatures from 23500 K to 28700 K inclusive according to the method of measurement: (1) Cathode sensitivity in excess of 65 microamperes per lumen; (2) No change (3) No char ?e . 2. The UNITED KINGDOM Delegate assured the GEiihAN Delegate, who had raised the point, that this wording would make no change whatever in the coverage of the definition. He stated that existing types of photomultiplicr tubes ran at around 50 -f.icroanpcros for colour temperatures up to 28700 K. 3. In response to a sub ostion from the FRU_NNCII Delegate, the United Kingdom export agreed to amend the text to road as follows: (a) Photo_lultiplier tubes with all the following characteristics for any colour te:ip,,rature chosen between 2350? K and 2870? K inclusive according to the method of measurement: (1) Cathode sensitivity in excess of 65 .icroar:pores per lumen for the colour temperature at which the i_icasuromcnt is made. 4. The BELGIAN, CANADIAN, JAPANLaE, NETHERLANDS and UNITED STATES Delegations accepted the text set out in paragraph 3. above. The GERMAN and ITALIAN Delegations accepted it ad referendum. 5. On the 16th March.,., the GEFu.LN and ITALIAN Delegations confirmed their acceptance of this text. 6. The COMMITTEE AGREED that Item 1549(a) should be redefined as set out in paragraph 3. above.
