Memorandum by the United Kingdom Dele,fy'a Lion
The United Kingdom authorities have been asked to a}.oprove the
export to the Soviet Zone of Germany of the follotwrin;rr material
included on the Atomic Energy List--
Item 17(a) Arcton 2 kilos.
2. This material is required urgently for important tests
in experimental cancer research for the enrichment and
purification of viruses,
3. The consignee 'is Dr. Walter Krischke, Berlin N65,
Ernst-Reuter Siedlung 4/11.
4. Her Majesty's Government wish to authorise the export of
this material as an ad hoc exception. They consider that the
export will have no harmful strategic significance.
5. As the material is required urgently they would be grateful
for replies as soon as possible.
