The Sikorski Historical Institute in Scotland have
requested permission to ship the museum exhibits shown in the
attached list to the Military Museum in Warsaw. The total value
does not exceed O 35-
2, All the items have had considerable use and were collected
by the Polish fighting forces on various battlefields. The
pieces could not be used for active service as they have been
damaged, and have parts missing.
3. This shipment of exhibits comprises all the remaining
pieces which the Sikorski Institute wish to transfer to Poland,
as the Institute is now closing.
4. This memorandum is submitted following paragraph 2 of
COCO;1 Document 4119 and Her Majesty's Government would be grate-
ful for the com,.i;ittee's agreement to the issue of the necessary
export permit by October 20.
