PROPOSED GERMAN EXPORT OF SHOTGUN CARTRIDGES TO RUMANIA
26th September, 1960
Present: Belgium(Luxembourg), Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy,
Japan, Netherlands, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.

1. The CHAIMUN drew the Committee's attention to a German proposal to
export to Rumania 400 7 mm.-diameter SINOXID shotgun cartridges valued at $ 70.
He invited delegates to make known the views of their Governments.
2. The UNITED STATES Delegate referred to the remarks he had made on a
similar German case, as recorded in COCOM 4093. The same remarks applied in the
present instance, and he sympathised with the German authorities' desire to
clarify Item 3 and its relationship to Item 1 on the Munitions List during the
forthcoming List Review.
3. The ITALIAN Delegate was without instructions and undertook to give
views on the following day.
4. No objections were raised and the GERMAN Delegate thanked his col-
leagues for their favourable replies, and noted that his authorities would sub-
mit a proposal for the clarification of Items 1 and 3.
5? On the 27th September, the ITALIAN Delegate informed the Gorman
Delegation and the Secretariat that his authorities had no objection to the proms
posed export.
