(nickel content 99,8;;) 11 6,--S 500 gr lithiumfluoride 35 1179--% 1750 gr lithiumacetate 35 12,---% 3000 gr lithiumhydride 35 1941--/, These chemicals are a part of a greater order valued at 950,--,- the other chemicals are not covered by the listen The above chemicals are to be used for the following purposes; The circonium metal will be used for deleting gas residues in radio tubes; the nickel-carbonyl-powwwder for making pure nickel; the lithiumacetate for pharmaceuticals to increase the alcality of blood; the lithiumhydride for research purposes on organic substances. The value of the lithiumfluoride and the lithiumhydride is much higher than that of normal lithium-compounds. It seems improbable that these expensive compounds would be used for the extraction of lithium. The German DeleCation present the case under the special policy adopted towards Poland and hope that due to the civilian end-use and the small quantities involved no objections will be raised. They hope to receive the views of the Committee at an early opportunity. Approved For Release : CIA-RDP62-00647A000100220068-4
