EXC aPTION REQUEST CONCERNING THE EXPORT OF

The, German delegation have the honour
submit the following
exception request to the Committee s
Ater the first request to deliver railway signalling cables
the electrification of the railway line from Sofia to Plovdiv the

German firms have submitted another application for the second stage

i.e. Plovdiv Svilengrad. The. delivery would amount to the shipment
of 133 kms of railway communication cables and of 4.3 kms branch?
cables (station approach-cables). The specificationsof d cables
are exactly the same as those mentioned in Cocom Doc, and 3734
for the delivery of the 180 ions for the line Sofia-Plovdiv. The
value of the new order amounts to approximately /
.~ y ~400.000.-. The ca'cle-
laying'will be carried out under the supervision of German technicians
who will also control the installation of the equipment.
The German ,authorities are of the opinion that this 'export as.
