Export of Electronic Equipment to Poland
r,cmorandum by the United Kingdom Delegation
The United Kingdom authorities have been asked to approve
the export to Poland of 3 Line Strobe Waveform Monitors covered
by I.L. Item 1584 and valued together at $5,863.
2. The importer is ELEKTRIM and the instruments are stated
to be required for control and testing purposes in television.
The equipment, which is by no means modern, was designed for
this purpose and has been in general use for some time. The
Committee has previously approved the export of similar equip-
ment to the Bloc and a full technical description will be
found in COCOM Doc. 2976.
3. Her Majesty's Government regard the present requirement
as being reasonable and wish to authorise the export under the
special Polish exceptions procedure. They would be grateful
for the views of Member Governments by April 25.
