UNITED KINGDOM PROPGSAL TO EPORT CHEMICALS TO POLAND
March 21st and 24th, 1960
Present: Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands,
Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.
Reference: COCOM Document No. 3897.
1. The CHAIRMAN drew the attention of the Committee to the United
Kingdom proposal to export various chemicals caught by Item 1715 +o
Poland. He invited Delegate to give the views of their authorities.
2. The ITALIAN Delegate said that his authorities had no objection
to this export in view of the end-use and the country of destination.
3. The UNITED STATES Delegate was without instructions. He
undertook to inform the Uaited Kingdom Delegate and the Committee as
soon as they were received.
4. There were no objections to this export from the remaining
Members of the Committee and the UNITED KINGDOM Delegate expressed
his thanks to the Committee for the replies that had bean given.
5. On March 24th the UNITED STATES Delegate reported that on
March 22nd he had informed the United Kingdom Delegation and the
Secretariat that he had been authorized to interpose no objection
to this export, taking special account of the small quantities
involved.
