This material is intended for consignment to CIECH, Warsaw and resale in Poland for the production or manufacture of enamel and glass to be distributed within Poland. The United States authorities request the approval of this export under the special Polish exception policy. It is anticipated that ship- ment will be made during the second quarter of 1960, and it has been concluded that this export is reasonable and necessary to the Polish civilian economy in terms of requirements for refined borax foreseen beginning in the third quarter of this year, The usual assurances against trans-shipment and re-export of this material, including the end-products, have been obtained. The United States Delegation will be pleased to receive the views of other delegations on March 7 as agreed in the Committee on February 15.
