COCOM Document No. 3848B COORDINATING COMMITTEE MEMORANDUM BY THE FRENCH DELEGATION TRADE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FRENCH REPUBLIC AND COMMUNITY ON ONE HAND , AND THE CZE(EOSLOVAK REPUBLIC ON THE OTHER. 4413459 The French Delegation wish to inform the Committee that a Trade Agreement between the French Republic and Community on the one hand, and the Czechoslovak Republic on the other, was signed in P-ris on the 24th November, 1959. This Agreement replaoes the Franco-Czechoslovak Trade Agreement signed in Prague on the 23rd May, 1958. It will come into force retroactively on the 1st November, 1959. Exchanges total some 8 thousand million francs in both directions. It will be valid for one year. It should be notel that no International List I item is listed among the French exports to Czechoslovakia. The main items included are: Exports to Czechoslovakia: Foodstuffs Consumer goods Chemicals Iron and steel products Electrical equipment Machine tools Public works equipment Miscellaneous machinery and products Precision instruments Machinery and equipment for various industries Imports into France Foodstuffs Consumer goods Various chemicals Paper pulp Glassware and china Glazed products Machine tools Public works equipment Miscellaneous electrical equipment Electronic microscopes Precision instruments Aircraft, aero engines and components Passenger cars Office equipment and machinery.
