Present: Belgium (Luxembourg), Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy,
Japan, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States.
Reference: COCOM Document No. 3763.
1. The CHAIRMAN drew the attention of the Committee to the United Kingdom
proposal to export 60 quartz crystals to Poland. He invited Delegates to
give the views of their authorities.
2. The UNITED STATES Delegate said that his authorities raised no
objection to this request on the understanding, that the equipment embodying
the crystals would be used for civilian purposes.
3. The FRENCH Delegate said that his authorities had no objection to
this export but they would be grateful for more technical details, especially
concerning the parallel capacity of the quartz.
4. The ITALIAN Delegate said that his authorities raised no objection
to this export in view of the civilian end-use and the destination.
5. There were no objections from other Members of the Committee and the
UNITED KINGDOM Delegate expressed his thanks for the favourable replies which
had been given.
