In November 1958 the German Delegation submitted in C0COM Document
3318 of November 27, an interesting; account about the attempted diversion of
a four-wheel drive vehicle that was to be exhibited at a trade fair. The
German memorandum drew sore conclusions from this case and in paragraph 10(b)
made certain suggestions as to how such diversion attempts could be countered.
The United Kingdom authorities have taken note of the recommenda-
tions contained at the end of CGCOL iiocuoent 3318 and have given consideration
to the operation of the United Kingdom regulations and procedures governing
the export of strategic tvcds for exhibition and demonstration purposes.
