Chief/G announced that has been named as the new Chief of
the Geography Division, and indicated that an ORR Notice would be issued
within the next few days. The group welcomed M to his new position.

2. Boundary Inventory Project

Chief/G spoke to the group about the request from for
assistance on his Boundary Inventory Project. asks for our 25X1A9a
continuing support on a non-priorit basis. 11 look into
the details of this project with and prepare a memo of reply

*3. Operation Alert 1959

attended the meeting for discussion of the forthcoming
OPAL 1959 2}, 25, and 26 August). He spoke of the type of exercise it
was to be, indicating there would be a heavy demand for maps. Each of the
Division Chiefs tentatively named those team members he thought should
participate; this list will be checked out by each division and any changes
relayed to Chief/G. The problem of reproduction facilities at the Center
was brought up and it was agreed that - would get together with 25X1A9a
in an effort to solve this problem.
