MEMORANDUM FOR: Inspector General 8 August 1955
SUBJECT : DD/S Comments on I.G. Survey Report/Medical Staff
1. I am returning for your files, the comments made by the
Chief, Medical Staff on the principal recommendations of our
survey report on the Medical Staff. As indicated in a covering
memo dated 27 May 1955, the DD/S is in substantial agreement with
the views expressed by the Chief, Medical Staff.
2. With reference to the disagreement with recommendations
2 and 6, and assuming that you have not yet discussed this matter
with the DD/S and the Chief, Medical Staff, you may wish to con-
sider the following:
a. Recommendation No. 2 25X1C
The comments made by re the extension of
preventative medical fact es to include domestic field
personnel are reasonable from a practical point of view.
As long as the Medical Staff is aware of the inequity and
plans to do the best it can on this score, I see no point
in belaboring this any further.

ly
I would like to see the nave K-Tittle more
authority over TSS activities. If the DD/S and Chief,
Medical Staff are of the opinion that they are not "biting
off more than they can chew" more power to them.
3. The above views are for your information and whatever use
you wish to make of them.
