1. This memorandum is for information only.
2. Pursuant to your request of 20 February 1961, I am
submitting this progress report on actions taken on the recommen-
dations contained in the Inspector Generals Survey of the Office of
Security.
3. Each of the following pages contains a recommendation
and its response and, as requested by you, details are given when
there is deviation from. the Inspector Generalts recommendation.
4. It may be interesting to note that of the total 57
recommendations made by the Inspector General (counting subpoints
as separate items), 28 have already been accomplished, 20 are in
process, 4 are modifications of the recommendations,, and 5 are
non-concurrences.
