Approved For Release 2001/08/15 : CIA-RDP62B00844R000200010060-6 $APC4gr ZO COPY-3 of ORANDUM FOR: Project Contracting Officer 19 October 1956 SUB SECT rd Equipment Delivery 1. I agree with your handwritten note to the effect that we should not push Eastman Kodak toed hard for the delivery of the above equipment. I am not suure, -however, that our views should be controlling on this matter. Do you not feel that we should regard ourselves as merely the agents of HTAUTO T with respect to the procurement of mirdcard equipment now that AUTOMAT is a going concern? In my view, it is the responsibility of the DD/i within the Agency to organize appropriate record-keeping and information recall systems. We had to take some troublesome and to me unwelcome initiative in this matter before HTAUTOMAT was in existence and we have had to provide at least a part of the financing. At this stage, however, I hope we can insist that they assume their responsibilities. 2. Returned herewith is the memorandum from Chief, Machine Division, OCR. R.ICHARb )4. BISELL, JR.
