1. Have you ascertained whether the rear view mirror gives
rise to any extra drag?
2. Do you know whether it has any value other than for observ-
ing contrails? Would it be of any use to a pilot in detecting attempted
interception?
3. If there is a cost in drag and no other use for the mirror,
should it not be removed from the aircraft except when there is a possi-
bility of contrails?
