departed San Francisco with equixmzent and a complement of personnel
to:
(1.) Launch 3 - 5 photographic items from a point north
accomplished 4 July (weather and winds permitting).
(2) The first launchings are intended as tests to determine
tracking characteristics, signal read-backs,, etc., and will travel
across the United States. Landing (cut-down) will be off the
Eastern Coast of the United States--in the vicinity of Massachusetts
or Maine. 'Pickup of training flights will be accomplished by a
C-1-9 configured for this purpose, which is at the disposal of
