As of 30 June, EmAjUptial approval (originally denied) h a. A MSTS carrier ( used for transport of AP aircraft) departed San Francisco with equixmzent and a complement of personnel to: (1.) Launch 3 - 5 photographic items from a point north accomplished 4 July (weather and winds permitting). (2) The first launchings are intended as tests to determine tracking characteristics, signal read-backs,, etc., and will travel across the United States. Landing (cut-down) will be off the Eastern Coast of the United States--in the vicinity of Massachusetts or Maine.
