So far as I am aware. I have heard nothin from you on the above
subject since I I meeting with ______in California on ZZ Sep-
tember. letter of 10 September makes this whole matter
sound very intriguing, and I am interested to know how it stands. If in
your judgment there is a real possibility of an important technical advance
here. I would be glad to invest a modest sum in development work,
especially if we could in this way exercise some degree of control over
at least the initial military application and if our financing would make
it possible for us in the national interest to surround this development
with some security. If and when any contract is contemplated, I would
of course wish to discuss with you and the best procedure
to be used and the part that might be play
