REFERENCE Memorandum for DD/P, dated 17 February 1959,
same subject (GUS-0132)
This is simply to note that I have read with interest the referenced
report of your trip to Eastman Kodak and I fully concur in all three recom-
mendations in paragraph 6. 1 have been and will continue to try to persuade
Dr. Land to not an early date for a meeting of the Advisory Committee.
Although the first meeting of that committee will not include representatives
of the three camera manufacturers from whom informal proposals have been
solicited (Itek, Fairchild and P&E) I Propose that we do include a representa-
tive from Eastman Kodak (probably with a clear :sndersstanding that
we are not going to consider them as possible suppliers of cameras.
