Office Memorandum ?
UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT
TO : Director, PIC
DATE: 8 June 1959
FROM : Special Assistant to the Director, PIC
SUBJECT: ATIC Request for Use of Project Processing Facilities for
Special Film Requirements
1. Major Charles Randall from ATIC requested that an inquiry
be made to ascertain if it would be possible for them to use the
project facilities at EK for processing the film which one of their
collection systems will be obtaining in the very near future. The
project name was Q The film would be 18 inches wide and
6,000 feet long, each picture, which is a panoramic scan, being
12 feet or more in length. The input cycle would be sporadic, about
once every two or three months; the first would become available
in approximately three months.
2. ATIC is making this request on their own separately from
AFCIN who does not agree that this procedure should be used so care
should be taken not to disclose this subject. ATIC feels that it
is imperative that this material be handled under only the most
controlled conditions. Major Randall was told that his request
would be forwarded through the proper channels to the project
director for his consideration.
