Permission has been requested for and
to attend the IRE Convention in New orc, 25-26 March 1958.
4. Administration
Additional conversations have been held to obtain 00/C assistance
in finding US industry training facilities which I/EE analysts
might attend. Initially we were informed that 00/C would investi-
gate and report back to us informally. This Branch could then
initiate a formal request for contact. Last Friday, 28 February,
23 were requested to submit a formal request. This will be done
immediately.

ORR Project 36.1556, "The Electron Tube Industry of the Sino-
Soviet Bloc", was received from The cutoff
date for information was 31 December 1957. Since that time
some additional material has been received which substantially
alters portions of the study. This will be accomplished
during the current month.

Planning for FY-59 is continuing.
