I. Accomplishments
A. Scheduled Projects Completed and Forwarded
Project No. 30.1830, "NIS 13A East'Germany, Section 64, Manufacturing
and Construction" - M/CH contribution completed and forwarded to I/MS.
3. Support Projects
Project No. 30.2431, "Reexamination of Intelligence on Soviet ICBM
Production and Deployment Program" - M/CH contribution completed
and forwarded to I/GM.
C. Other Support Activities
Lists of Soviet chemical plants and chemicals in which M/CH has a
priority interest were provided to the DD/P for use in connection
25X1 X7 with from the USSR.

A memorandum was prepared for NED/OSI in response to a request
from their for further information on the
Soviet fluorine situation.
Nine evaluations of clandestine reports on the chemical industries
of the Sino-Soviet Bloc countries were completed and forwarded for
the DD/P.
Requirements were provided to the DD/P for collection of intelligence
on the chemical industry of Communist China.
II. Program - No changes.
III. Administration
A. Personnel - No changes.
B. Branch Structure - A reorganization of the Branch was carried out
30 October in order to utilize more efficiently existing supervisory
talent and thus effect closer control over the research program.
The reorganization involved essentially the division of the Satellite
Section into two sections. The structure of M/CH is now as shown
below:

Dayton, Ohio, in order to consult with members of the Propulsion
Division on problems related to Soviet missile propellants. He
also visited aatelle Memorial Institute, Columbus, Ohio, for the
purpose of evaluating the Institute's files as a source of informa-
tion on the chemical industries of the Soviet Bloc.
