Request for Agency-sponsored Travel of Services Division Personnel

1. It is requested that the following Services Division
personnel be authorized official travel to attend the Seventy-first
Annual Meeting of the :American Economic Association, Chicago, Illinois

2. The Services Division travel budget for Fiscal. Year 1959
includes eleven trips to the ABA convention at Chicago and authori-
zation for this ;number is requested. Beeau e of a predominance of
sessions on Soviet Bloc and international economics, it has been
concluded that the personnel listed for attendance will derive a
of benefit from the papers and discussions.
3. Because the convention falls prii axily on a weekend, the
problem of adequate staffing of the Division in the absence of these
people is not a serious one. In any event if it were deemed necessary,
selected individuals could return to Washington on Sunday evening
and thus not miss any working days.
