Commandant interested and arrangements being made for scheduling in next course. DTR visited Army War College. Commandant and faculty interested and desire an orientation presented with an open frankness regarding operational activities. Summary It can be safely said that all defense schools which and I visited will wish CIA presentations in their 1960-61 courses. We found some hesitancy wherever we went on including a presentation on the Clan- destine Services because the service schools did not believe we would be candid enough in our presentation to make it worthwhile. The Air War College and the Armed Forces Stall College both required dry runs. convinced the people at the Armed Forces Staff College that he could give the type of presentation they wanted. and I feel certain that Lyman Kirkpatrick will do the same when we go out to Maxwell Field on the 14th of July. Mr. DuIles1s talks at the Naval War College and the Army War College this mouth "sold" these two institutions without my having to do anything in addition. Wherever Robert Amory has been speaking he is wanted back, and I propose to use Mr. Kirkpatrick wherever possible on the Clandestine Services presentations and on the straight CIA presentations as required.
