2. A study has been conducted of all available single sideband
equipment, and certain recommendations are made as outlined below.
(a) For use in the aircraft, it has receded
that a Collins Model 618-T3 Transceiver be saW1oyed.
This equips nt would provide both a transmitting and
a receiving capability. It is a highly stable equip-
cant vhioh wee designed for airborne operation. It
consists of one full QTR size case with its own in-
ternal poker supply and a console mounted control:

in *hari" use. In additions, it raquixes car ,derabl. operator skill to
obtain xaxim= performance. It is eonaidered that use of this or
