RE ENCE : memorandum for the Record from Assistant Chief, DPDj Same
Subject, dated 22 September 1960 (oxC-o894)
1. In paragraph four of the reference.. I referred to a briefing BO
was planning for NASA. and presumably other Government officials on the
DISCOVERER Program. In a phone call from Dr. Dryden later during the day,
I was able to confirm that this briefing had been requested by Dr. Glennen
of General Schriever, and the personnel were to include Doctors Glennen and
Dryden,, Bob Siemens, General Don Ostrander, and Abe Silverstein, all of
NASA.
2. I relayed the above information to Mr. Kiefer just before he left
for the West Coast for the CORONA meeting, and. he said he would make sure
the CORONA or "black" side would not be covered in this meeting. Suggest
that Security may wish to check with him.
