A second contract- for the production of 17 special purpose
maps has been approved and a preliminary meeting to plan details of
production was held recently. This project is scheduled for completion
1 January 1962.
In line with Division plane to prepare terrain maps frcan 311-color
originals, the first experimental maA using this teebnique vas sent
to reproduction. If this method of preparing relief dr+1nga proves
successful,, it will grad aal1.y aupplant the techniques now In use.
