The House passed H. R. 6829, the Military Construction bill,
including. 'the CIA authorization for construction of a headquarters installa-
tion. In the course of the Floor debate, Chairman Vinson mentioned that
the building would house but, at my request. Mr.. Smart,
Counsel to the Armed Services Committee, eliminated this figure from
the printed Congressional Record.
