It would be greatly appreciated by me, in con-
nection with the Conference on the Supplemental
Appropriation bill, if the House Conferees would
accept the decision of the Senate in connection with
funds for the proposed CIA headquarters installation
contained in Chapter III. The House Appropriations
Committee approved $3, 000, 000 for this purpose,
and the Senate has raised this figure to $7, 000, 000.
I have sent a letter and statement to Congress-
man Mahon, before whose Appropriations Subcom-
mittee I appeared in connection with our appropriation
request for funds for this new installation, and I am
attaching a copy of this material for your information.
I sincerely hope that you will be able to support our
position on this point.
