M 1" MMORANDUPvA FOR CHIEF OF PLANS :
Mr. Willett on the staff of Secretary Forrestal
called today to advise that a Mr. Jaffe, Census Bureau,
extension 329, called him to discuss the question of future
plans of the Census Bureau having to do with censorship
studies throughout the world.
He stated that during the war he was called
upon for numerous studies and that it is their desire to
anticipate the type of studies which will be requested
by the Central Intelligence Group and other intelligence
agencies so that they will be in a position to comply.
It is suggested that a member of the Planning
Staff communicate with Mr. Jaffe to discuss this subject.
