My dear Mr. Anderson,
Your letter of 18 April 1946 enclosing the
State-War-Navy Coordinating Committee Memorandum, dated a5 April
1946, which establishes a Subcommittee for Security Control to
be known as the Security Advisory Board and which delineates its
functions, has been noted with interest. The creation of this
inter-departmental body to advise upon security measures of
common interest to both military and non-military governmental
departments and agencies should assist,, to a marked degree, in
the effective accomplishment of the intelligence mission relating
to the national security.
In compliance with your request, I am pleased
to nominate the following officers to serve as my principal aid
alternate representatives to serve in a liaison capacity with the
Security Advisory Board:
