2. Met with Representative Olin Teague (D., Tex.)
who had expressed an n ere st in talking with us about exchange of information
programs and Soviet space and science activities. Mr. Teague feels that
the U.S. should withhold information from the Soviet Union until it gives
some indication of sharing scientific data which it has acquired. I told
Mr. Teague that the Agency did not participate in policy decisions in areas
such as this and we then proceeded to have a pleasant talk. (See Memo for
the Record for Details)
3. I I Picked up from the Senate Preparedness
Investigating Subcommittee staff a film on CBS's interview with Titov and
returned it to OCR/Graphics.

7. (Secret GLC) At the request of Stanley Plesent, General
25X1 Counsel of USIA, CA Staff, and I met with Mr. Richard
Donahue of the White House sta to brief him on the Agency activities in
getting certain U. S. publications to individuals within the Soviet Union and
other Bloc countries. The meeting was arranged in. connection with
Executive Branch interest in the Cunningham amendment to the postal rate
bill, H. R.. 7927. (See Memo for Record for details.)
8. (Secret - GLC) called in connection.
with a citizenship problem concerning a former staff
employee who now finds he may be without U. S. cit zenship. is
residing abroad and may lose his citizenshi under certain provisions of
the Immigration and Nationality Act. I told I would look into this
and be in. touch with him, 1 --1
