MEMORANDUM FOR: THE DIRECTOR
The wording of 2. a. is satisfactory
to me, and I believe it no longer carries the
same implications as to John Warner's personal
status as might have been read in before. Where
John has felt an over-all responsibility to Red
White in the legislative field, I understand Kirk
and Red are in agreement that when this is
published Red will be consulted and informed
appropriately on legislative matters in line with
his DD/S responsibilities but no longer is
responsible for general guidance and supervise
which goes to Kirk. I think this is as it should
be and will work, certainly as long as Kirk and
Red are the ones we deal with.
