MEMORANDUM
1/19/62
Rep. Clark McGregor (R-Minn.) read in today's Wash. News that
you and Senator Russell strongly urged Mr. McCone to appoint a
military man as his deputy in CIA.
McGregor would like to recommend in strongest terms his former
C.O. in the O.S.S. -- now Brig Gen. Wm.. Ray Peers, Chief of the JCS
liaison group at Omaha, Neb.
McGregor asks that you 'phone him-- Ext. 2871 -- this afternoon
or tomorrow morning.
