C:nmmittee staff on 25 July 1963 and provided a briefing on some
aspects of the case of
Following our briefing, Mr. Conway requested
a summary of the information this Agency has furnished to the
Atomic Energy Commission on this case.
I should like to point out, as my representatives indicated
in the briefing, that the over-all responsibility for collecting all
information in the United States and for developing a damage as-
sessment to the United States has been assigned to the Federal
Bureau of Investigation. Therefore, while I am pleased to provide
the requested summary, which is enclosed herewith, the primary
point of contact for inquiry on all aspects of this case should be
the FBI. The attachment represents only information developed
by the CIA from confidential, sensitive sources abroad, and does
not constitute a complete account of the case.
