1. On Wednesday, 20 March, the undersigned together with
met with M r. Carl Marcy, 25X1
Chief of Staff, and Walter Pincus, Staff Investigator, of the Senate
Foreign Relations Committee staff, for a briefing concerning the
elusion of the briefing. question was rasied concerning the information
provided the Committee staff in a briefing by the undersigned on
26 F ebruary regarding the F_ I 25X1
2. With regard to the I after, Mr. Pincus
noted several fact items which tend to put this matter in a very bad
light from the point of view of Agency choice or recommendation to
the Government of firm for the handling
of this account. It was requested as a resu an appropriate Agency
briefing be provided.
3. This Office will be pleased to arrange a meeting to brief
the Committee as requested and would. suggest that if possible this
be accomplished during this week.
