Dr. Dorothy Fosdick, Staff Director and Dr. p Robert Tufts,.
Chief Consultant, Subcommittee on National Security Staff and Operations
of the Senate Committee on Government Operations are visiting the
Par Wit, Near East and Europe in. October, accompanied by Colonel
George Sloan, Army. The purpose of the trip is for background infor-
mation for a study by the Subccamittee of the effectiveness of national
security administration and operations with particular reference to
'`shiton-field relations and interagency coordination in the field.
They are interested in meeting informally with Ambassadors and key
members of the country team, including MAA:C Chief, Director AID, and
Information Officers

November 13.
The Administrator requests USAIDa to stand by to assist in
briefings requested and to extend appropriate courtesies. Following
