Calls 6 Approved For Release 2005/01/27: CIA-RDP66B00403R00O2 B2*0 38.ence In 1 Correspondence Out 2 JOURNAL OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL Wednesday 5 February 1964 1. (Unclassified - GLC) of FBIS1 called to say that Mr. Meyer, in the office of Representative Gerald R. Ford, had requested copies of FBIS Daily Reports for 21 November and the six reports succeeding. (Ford is a member of the Commission to Investigate the assassination of President Kennedy, as well as being a member of the CIA. Subcommittee.) I returned Mr. Meyer's call and advised him that arrangements had been made to have hand- carried to him this afternoon copies of the Daily Reports he had requested and a copy of the FBIS Summary on foreign comment on the President's assassination. I added that if he desired any of the specific items referred to in the summary, we could make them available to him. Meyer thanked me for our prompt attention. (I have advised F- I of the above.) 2. (Unclassified - GLC) In response to his previous inquiry, I advised Walter Besterman, House Immigration Subcommittee staff, that the Agency had no information from our own sources on Mieczyslaw Chrostek, beneficiary of private bill H.R. 8478. However I suggested they might wish to contact the FBI. 3. (Unclassified - GLC) Jack White, Staff Assistant to Representative Joel Broyhill, called again concerning the case of White said that II has become an intolerable problem, that he wishes to get rid of him and asked if I would be willing to sit with and himself in the interest of possibly terminating further action by their office. I told White that I would be happy to meet with them if any useful purpose could be served, but doubted that this would be so. I told him I would let him know tomorrow. cc: Ex/Dir-C ompt DD IS Mr. Chretien Approved For Release 2005/01/27 : CIA-RDP66B00403R000200210019-5
