3. Delivered to Miss Koker, in the
office of Representative Charles S, Gubser, two unclassified
publications entitled "Economic Plans of Six European Satellite
Countries Through 1965: A General Appraisal'r and "The Hungarian
.Second Five Year Plan (1961-65): An Evaluation" prepared by ORR
some time ago and a blind statement updating these two reports for
the Congressman's information,
4~, In the absence of Senator Dodd from
the city, I notified David Martin of his staff that it was our information
that Guy Richards was publishing six more articles in his current
aeries, Martin. said he had seen one :today and appreciated this
information which he would pass on to the Senator when he spoke to
him on the phone today.

The Director, accompanied by
Dr, Chamberlain, Mro Howard,
the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy,
and Ivlra Warner, briefed 25X1
6. In response to his request, I met
with Mr. Ewing Hass, Administrative Assistant to Senator Thomas J.
Kuchel, concerning the fairly large volume of constituent correspondence
that has been received by the office concerning the charges. 25X1
Mr. Hass appreciated our inability to comment on t e matter and after
discussion indicated that he might check with the Senate Lnternal Security
Committee and respond in general terms using the information he receives
from Senator Eastland's office plus a statement covering the Senator's
complete confidence in Mr. McCone as the Director of Central Intelligence.
Should he have further questions on the matter, Mr. Hass will call me.
7. Congressman James D. Weaver
(R. , Pa.) called and requested if possible that someone come by to
discuss the Soviet Space Program with him. I advised him that I would 25X1
transmit his request and be back in touch with him in the morning.
