SUBJECT: Meeting in Executive Session With Foreign Operations and
Government Information Subcommittee, 10 June 1964,
On Use of the Polygraph
1. Agency representatives met in executive session with the
Foreign Operations and Government Information Subcommittee of
House Government Operations Committee on Agency use of the
polygraph with the following Committee members in attendance:
Representative John Moss, Chairman
Representative Henry S. Reuss
Representative John S. Monagan
Representative George Meader
Representative Ogden R. Reid
Samuel Archibald, Staff Director
Benny Kass, Counsel
Jack Matteson, Chief Investigator
David Glick, Chief Counsel
Vincent Augliere, Chief Adviser
Raymond Collins, Minority Staff Member
Agency representatives present were:

5. At the close of today's session, Mr. Moss requested that
Mr. Kass be furnished with a copy of General Cabell's memorandum
concerning polygraph procedures, which was referenced by Mr.
Bannerman during the morning.
6. The hearing adjourned at approximately 12:20 until 10:00
tomorrow morning, Thursday, 11 June. Present indications are that
this hearing will continue through Friday morning.
